Bright colors of and bold prints brought a fresh take to Fall 2014 with Duckie Brown’s new collection. Simplicity was met with edge in this collection, as signature layered separates were infused with pleated detailing that made the collection exciting and unique; typical to the Duckie Brown brand. What wasn’t typical was this season’s introduction to the womenswear line from Duckie. Brightly printed knits and sleek silhouettes went down the runway for the first time, showing the high demand of Duckie Brown in both markets is to be heavily anticipated.
Every season, Duckie Brown pushes the envelop in footwear – with their collaboration with Florshiem, this year’s footwear went lower than low. The slippers used throughout the show had such a low rise on the foot, but was one of the stars of the show. Such a simple shoe made a huge impact on the overall aesthetic of the collection; a collection just a provocative and classic as it should be.
