The Katie Eary Spring 2013 Menswear Collection, was described simply as “California Skate,” but there had to have been a pun intended with the collection. While the looks were accessorized with skateboards and sneakers, the prints used in the collection were “deep sea” than they were street. Prints of fish, tentacles and aqua blue colors are indicative of Eary’s love for anatomy and fashion (think of her skeletal/flesh prints and accessories from SS10). The colors are bold and fun, but the fabric choice and symmetrical print illusions are similar to what we have seen from the last Givenchy menswear collections.
