The Faces of Mitt Romney: Florida GOP Republican Debate
I couldn't help but take note of Mitt Romney's facial expressions during the GOP debate in Jacksonville, Florida. I sat with my camera phone just to catch these moments, which seemed to occur any time another GOP candidate was speaking. I don't believe that Romney has a dangerous amount of elitism - any different than any other wealthy, successful politician - but it's really hard to not think of Romney as condescending and self-indulged, when he makes faces like the ones above; Seriously, if someone made these faces while you were talking, wouldn't you go straight to your PACs and ask them to make more negative campaigns?
More of Romney's faces are on Hanky Swanky, the official Tumblr for Avenue Swank. Check it out!

Givenchy Haute Couture Spring 2012
A man's love of women and sports can somehow find a place in Givenchy's Spring 2012 Couture Collection. Riccardo Tisci created an eerie, true-to-brand display of twisted beauty with crocodile skin, missed with the darkness and purity of black and white. Facial jewelry is a trend throughout the couture and menswear collections for Givenchy, and nose rings and dark lips donned the heads of both sexes. The irony in the single basketball in one of three rooms brought a contrast in color and skin type; if nothing else, to bring a smile to anyone viewing the collection.

Michelle Obama Fashion: 2012 State of the Union Address
The First Lady of the United States stood out in more ways than one among the crowd at the 2012 State of the Union Address.
Watching her husband reflect on 2011 efforts, with an outlook on 2012 last night in what many call a redemption of Obama's strength as our leader, Michelle Obama wore a bold, blue Barbara Tfank dress by that matched perfectly with her skin tone. FLOTUS always looks great in jeweled tones; a trend that's relevant and classic for the Fall/Winter months. Barbara Tfank's design aesthetic matches with Michelle Obama's style perfectly; as I identified with her Spring 2012 Collection Review.

Armani Prive Spring 2012 Couture Collection
Couture generally has the expectations of serious, elegant displays of craftsmanship, but it's a fashion enthusiast's dream when the artistic, atelier construction can be effortlessly matched with a sexy, fun attitude. The electrifying presentation of the Armani Prive Spring 2012 Couture Collection presented the perfect marriage between sex and sophistication. The colors were bright and bold; the prints were alluring and mysterious, and the reptile print was adventurous and primal. The shades of green; bright and eye-catching hues, were the most stand-out, pulling together a reflective, iridescent theme when paired with the metallics and runway effects.
